if a bride gets cheap printed synthetic and cotton sarees in bengali wedding tatto from well-off in-laws, is it okay to be offended? (the kind women wear at home or give to maidservants during durga puja)

no, cotton sarees are pretty common. bengalis are into the simple beauty. the typical bengali person wears taanter, or cotton woven sarees, not the georgette sequined ones. and you never know what circumstances they are in, are they well-off? i wouldn’t be offended, it’s a bad way to start a relationship. and plus, that’s probably not that bad.
